Day 1 Moscow Arrival at Moscow airport and transfer to the five-star Hotel close to the Kremlin and Red Square, for a one-night stay. Welcome dinner.
Day 2 Moscow Moscow sightseeing, including Red Square and the Kremlin. Evening departure of the Trans-Siberian Express train.
Day 3 Yaroslavl Arrival in Yaroslavl, a Golden Ring City dating back to 1010 and once a prosperous mercantile trading city. City sightseeing includes the Volga River embankment and the 12th century “Monastery of the Transfiguration”.
Day 4 Yekaternburg Crossing the Europe/Asia divide before arrival in Yekaterinburg, the capital of Urals. The city tour includes the Romanov execution site and the Urals Mineralogical museum.
Day 5 Novosibirsk Stop in Novosibirsk, visiting the famous Opera House, Lenin Square, Railway Museum and River Ob, which flows 3,500 miles from its source to the Arctic.
Day 6 On Board Going east spending another day on board of the Trans-Siberian Express train.
Day 7 Irkutsk Arrival in the “Paris of Siberia”, Irkutsk. Cultural immersion of the major sights and museums as well as observing the classic wooden architecture that this area is renowned for.
Day 8 Lake Baikal The train winds the way through tunnels and round cliffs along the shoreline of the world’s largest freshwater lake, Lake Baikal. Stop at one of the bays. Barbeque off the train. Visit to Listvyanka, a small Baikal village nestled at the base of the surrounding hills. Return to the train for dinner and an evening departure.
Day 9 Ulan Ude Arrival in Ulan Ude, capital of the Buryat Republic. Tour to the area’s colourful Buddhist Temple and travel by coach to the Village of Old Believers.
Day 10 Ulaan Baatar Arrival in the capital of Mongolia, Ulaan Baatar. The National History Museum. Lunch in a Ger (Yurt) restaurant. Free time or an optional visit to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park.
Day 11 On Board On board the train enjoying the warm atmosphere in the Bar Car or viewing the beautiful scenery.
Day 12 On Board Following the Shilka and Amur rivers close to the Chinese border. Siberia, the remote beauty area and the region of permafrost.
Day 13 On Board Last full day on board north of Seoul, Darwin and Osaka. The most easterly point of the journey, the city of Khabarovsk. Crossing the river Amur. Final dinner on board the train.
Day 14 Vladivostok Arrival in Vladivostok and the end of the Trans-Siberian line. City tour includes the principal military attractions. Transfer to the Hotel Hyundai for a one-night stay and final farewell dinner.
Day 15 Vladivostok Breakfast in the hotel with transfers to the airport for departing flights.
