Location: The Austeria Restaurant is favourably located inside one of the bastions of the Peter and Paul Fortress.
Interior: This restaurant dates from the times of Peter the Great. The interior of the restaurant is designed in the Dutch style of the XVIII century and is full of antique objects, such as a unique musical box, wonderful canvases and charming handcrafted cast-iron chandeliers, which make the interior warm and cosy.
Capacity of the Austeria Restaurant is 80 seats.
Cuisine: Authentic Old Russian. On the menu list there are favourite dishes of the royal families since the reign of Peter the Great: flesh of salmon and pike-perch, Old Russian chicken pie, "serf" broth which is an even older dish: it is made without potatoes but of beans, beef and peas, cooked in a pot in a Russian oven. |
